5th December 2009 - Our second Christmas Fair - A great success (again). Very well attended and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Bring on 2010 !!
15th October 2009 Musical Extravaganza - And what an extravaganza ! - Intermezzo entertained us again, together with guitarist Steve Bean and the talented Haley Sisters who had us all singing along to some great old songs from the 50’s and 60’s. A terrific evening !
26th September 2009 ‘Ground Breaking Day’ - We had the local press and representatives of several Grant giving organisations at the historic ground breaking to commemorate the start of building to our new North Side extension.
28th June 2009 Summer Church Fete - Another sunny day!! - We have certainly been blessed over the last few years. A wonderful day which everyone enjoyed. Thanks for all those that helped out with stalls AND THOSE THAT CAME AND SPENT THEIR MONEY!!
18th June 2009 An ‘Antiques Roadshow’ event - What a great evening. Kate Bateman and her father came along, gave us a few ideas about the value of our ‘treasures’ and regaled us with stories from the antiques world
28th May 2009 A wine tasting evening with the Arch. Deacon of Cambridge. Everyone learned something (and thoroughly enjoyed the wines on offer).
23rd April 2009 Our second visit by Lance Pierson who this time regaled us with stories from the Music Hall days. A fantastic St George’s Day event and Lance has been invited again for next year !
12th February 2009 Even though we were inundated with heavy snow only an hour before the start we still had an excellent turnout and, once again, everyone enjoyed Ben’s witty and insightful presentation. This time on what goes on ‘Behind the scenes at the TIME TEAM’. We look forward to having Ben back some time in the future (maybe on a balmy June evening !!).

6th December 2008 A Winter Fair and Gluhwein evening was held at Holy Trinity Church. The tree was lit around 5 o’clock with a good crowd to enjoy the seasonal songs. We hope to make this a regular event as it was enjoyed by so many people.
30th October 2008 What an evening. There was applause, standing ovations, crying, cheering. Pretty much everything you would expect from a fantastically moving evening put on by the string quartet ‘Intermezzo’ in Holy Trinity Church
8th June 2008 Summer Fete in conjunction with the National Gardens Scheme - Open Gardens in The Village - A beautiful summers day saw lots of visitors, plenty of entertainment and a good sum of money raised.
23rd April 2008 The Best of Betjeman - A talk by Lance Pierson. Over 100 happy people packed the Orton Suite at Orton Hall Hotel to enjoy a thoroughly entertaining evening of poetry and learn more of the background to Betjeman’s poems. The steak and ale meal was enjoyed by all and Lance was persuaded to give an encore. We look forward to Lance coming back some time towards the end of the year or early 2009.
28th February 2008 The History of Buckingham Palace Gardens - a talk by Jane Brown, noted author and garden designer. Our first event held at Orton Hall was a big success enjoyed by all who attended. We look forward to returning to the venue soon.

23rd December 2007 Christmas prize draw took place after the carol service at Holy Trinity Church. The church was full capacity with several people having to stand. The draw was carried out by two children from the congregation and overseen by Grahame Ibsen. Full details of the prize winners are here
19th November 2007 Talk on Archeology in The Ortons given by Ben Robinson If you thought archeology was boring, think again! Ben brought this subject to life and his recounting of the history of the Orton Sword was fascinating and amusing. If you want to find out more please click here
20th October 2007 the Trinity Project was launched at Holy Trinity Church, Orton Longueville. The event was opened by the Mayor, Councillor Marion Todd and attended by many local dignitaries, businesses leaders and members of the local community.
